When you have a name like Crockett and you live in the West, the temptation to use western style motifs can be irresistible. I am indeed related to Davy Crockett, about whom a famous song was written describing him as the “King of the Wild Frontier.” Thus the name of my institute in formation. This umbrella organization is intended as a way to collect all my various activities under a single rubric.
